Directions to Upper Norton (Postcode: SY7 9LT)

Norton is a small hamlet situated approximately 1 mile to the east of the A49 between Ludlow and Craven Arms. There are a variety of scenic routes to the site from almost every direction however non-local visitors approaching the site from the north are advised to use the A49 to Craven Arms;  and from Ludlow (to the south), the A49 to Onibury.

From Ludlow and Onibury (to Upper Norton from the South)

Take the A49 north towards Craven Arms, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury

After approximately 5 miles the A49 passes through the village of Onibury

At Onibury turn right immediately after crossing a river bridge and the adjacent railway crossing and enter the village

After approx. 100 metres at T-junction facing The Apple Tree restaurant) turn left onto unclassified single track road with passing places. Proceed with great care

After approx 1 mile pass right turn to Vernolds Common – the site entrance is 200metres beyond this turning on the right-hand side.

M54 Telford via Much Wenlock

Exit the M54 at Junction 4. Take second exit
